• Feature:

40Cr (SAE5140) steel is belong to Medium carbon steel with hardening and tempering, cold heading steel. Easy processing, after proper heat treament can obtain a certain toughness, plasticity and abrasion resistance.

The positive fire can promote the spheroidization and improve the cutting performance of the hardness less than 160HBS.In the tempering temperature 550 ~ 570 ℃, the steel has the best comprehensive mechanical properties.The hardness of steel is higher than 45 steel, suitable for high frequency quenching, flame quenching and other surface hardening treatment.

• Applications:

After quenched and tempered steel used in the manufacture of work under medium load and medium speed of mechanical parts, such as car steering knuckle, after half shaft and machine tools gear, shaft, worm, spline shaft, top cover, etc.;

After quenching and tempering heat, it is used to manufacture parts that are working in high load, impact and medium speed, such as gear, main shaft, oil pump rotor, sliding block, ring, etc.
