1.6511 / SAE4340 Hot Rolled Alloy Special Steel For Mechanical
Introduction:
1.6511 / SAE4340 has high strength, toughness and good hardenability and anti-overheating
stability, but the white point sensitivity is high, and there is
temper brittleness.The welding property is poor, before welding, it needs to be
preheated by high temperature. After welding, the stress should be
eliminated and used after adjustment.

Applications:
Used as require good toughness, high strength, as well as the
important conditioning of large size, heavy machinery such as high
load of axial, turbine shaft, larger than 250 mm in diameter of
helicopter rotor shaft, turbojet engine turbine shaft, blade, high
load of transmission parts, fasteners of the crankshaft.Gear,
etc.;Can also be used for operating temperature over 400 ℃ of rotor
shaft and blade, etc.;It can also be used to make important parts
for special performance after nitride treatment, and can be used in
high strength steel after low temperature tempering or after
isothermal quenching.
Quality Condition:
1. Both end of each bar must be cut
2. Ladle furnanced and vacuum de-gassed
3. Show heat No. on each bar
4. Surface condition the surface of the hot rolled square bar shall
befree cracks, scar and wrinkles that affect the use of the
billets. In case there is the above-mentioned defect, it shall be
remove.
5. The mill test certificate shall show the chemical composition,
and it is guaranteed that the chemical composition shall be within
the limit stipulated in the contract.
